Finish! Sassoon the hair stylist

I really love making Lalylala dolls, I was flicking through all the patterns with no idea which one to start so I decided to wing it and see what I could come up with using the basic doll pattern. It’s the first time I’ve added hair and I decided to make some simple jewellery to add, I figured the cute scissors charm would give a good ‘crafty’ touch 🙂

As I’m not brilliant at coming up with names I took the doll along to the #Knitcraft social I go to at Hobbycraft in Warrington (every Saturday 10.30 till 1ish) for ideas. In my mind Rainbow Head was a girl doll that loves crafts but as soon as Lisa from The Wee House of Crochet saw it she decided he was a male hair stylist called Sassoon! I’ve got to say I think she is right so Sassoon he is.

I have started my next Lalylala, I’m doing the mermaid using some gorgeous King Cole yarn. Can’t wait to share pics 🙂

  1. I will definitely have to try a Lalylala pattern once my unicorn is complete! I also really want to do the Toft Angora Rabbit now thanks to Lisa! Xx

    1. Lalylalas are great patterns to follow, I think I have them all now lol. I love the Toft patterns too, I have the menagerie and the imaginarium books but I haven’t made anything from them as yet, must get on with one!
