Sweet Caroline mini CAL

I’m really loving the new mini CAL from Helen Shrimpton! Every time I pick it up I start singing though lol.

The idea behind it is to use up all those little balls of leftovers in your stash, however I decided to pull out one of the Knit Purl yarn packs I picked up in Hobbycraft a while ago (on sale for £5, bargain!) I was just to eager to get started and I have that many oddments I could of been there forever choosing a colour combo.

I’m only using five of the colours – the first, third and fifth balls in the top row and the first two in the bottom row. I’ve completed the first part of the pattern and the second part was released on Friday so I’m hoping to get on with it later on! I’m going to make it into a cushion as suggested, and I’m thinking about making a second one in pinks for my craft room

Finish! C2C cushion

I love the colours in this self striping yarn (It’s Ice magic light acrylic baby yarn and can be found here) I think the c2c pattern shows the colour changes really well but it took me a while to decide what to make using it… I eventually decided on a cushion cover 🙂

The front and back parts were very quick to work up, it then sat a while in the craft room before I got around to crocheting it together. It then sat a while longer before I got the camera out (yay for procrastination!)

Because I love the colour of this yarn so much I thought I’d keep the cushion for myself but I’m pretty sure Valentina Cat is going to claim it, she was doing everything she could to stop me taking pictures of it!
