It’s Friday again, didn’t that roll around fast! I’ve had a busy week with Birthdays and my brother visiting so I haven’t had a great deal of crafting time. I’m still working on hexagons for the bonus pattern for The Water Garden CAL (the last part of the pattern was released this morning!) I’ve also been doing a little Decopatch on something for The Crochet Sanctuary in June, obviously I can’t share a picture until after the event, I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise!
I’ve been trying to do a row or two each day on this baby blanket I started a while a go, it’s been slow going but it’s about half way there now. I love this baby prints yarn from Knitcraft/Hobbycraft, it came in some beautiful colourways but has sadly been discontinued. I tried several different patterns with it but none of them worked with the way the colours change. I decided it needed something very simple to let the colours speak for them selves so decided to wing it and do a very basic filet crochet stripe. Once it’s completed I will write the pattern up on here with the finished size and chain length etc.
Yesterday Paul and I went for a walk at one of the local nature reserves (Wigg Island in Runcorn). As the sun was shining I decided to take Alice Bunny with me to take a few outside photos, I made her over Christmas so there wasn’t a chance to take some nice pics in the daylight. (Pattern is from the Hobbycraft blog). You’ll find more pics below 😀
So that’s it for another week, thank you for stopping by.
I have been crocheting like a mad woman recently but I haven’t been working on anything that I can share (it’s a bit of a secret project with the lovely Lisa from The Wee House of Crochet, and I’m so excited about it!). So I decided to take the Erna doll I finished a few weeks ago over to Wigg Island for some photos. I originally wanted to take pictures of her in the strawberry patch at my other halfs allotment, I have a whole scenario planned that I still might do, I just need to wait for the fruits to grow!
I really should of taken some close up photos of her to show off the beads sewn on as strawberry pips but I was having too much fun posing her (and entertaining the dog walkers who obviously thought I was crazy!)

The sky was so clear and bright this morning that I thought it would be a perfect day to take out first walk of the year 🙂 One of our favourite places to walk (and by our I mean my other half AKA Lurch and I) is Wigg Island in Runcorn. It has bird hides that look over the Mersey, you can usually see many ducks, moorhens and swans on the canal and it even has a Troll Trail with awesome wooden carvings. All in all it’s a great walk and I decided to kill two birds with one stone and take my recently finished Heidi Bears Shoop the Sheep for some nice daylight photos. (I say recently, he’s been finished for a couple of months now. I just haven’t taken any decent photos of him. I’ve called him Stephen as he doesn’t look like a ‘Shoop’)
I’m sure people though I was crazy walking around with a camera and a crochet sheep but I really didn’t care, I would of taken many more photos of him in weird places but it was a little frosty! I did manage to take a couple of pics of him on the troll trail.
Thanks for stopping by
